Yukatan Blanco belongs to Centura’s Yukatan range and measures 24″ x 24″. It carries an organic, unrepeated face and the layered, cleft face of slate, finished with a natural finish, left close to how the tile leaves the press. Shade variation is rated V3, a moderate spread of tone that gives the installation obvious movement piece to piece. A 24″ x 24″ tile lays up quickly and leaves less grout to keep clean. Underfoot it is rated R10, which covers floors that see occasional water such as kitchens, bathrooms and entry halls. It is frost resistant, so it holds up in unheated garages, porches and exterior work where the tile will freeze and thaw. Floor and wall use are both covered, useful where a feature wall and the floor beneath it need to match exactly. The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so it sets with a joint of roughly 2 to 3 mm over a flat substrate. The body measures 10 mm. The suggested grout is 939 – Mist. It ships 4 pieces to a box, covering 15.34 sq ft, or 3.8358 sq ft a piece.
