Centura lists York Bone in the York range: a 12″ x 24″ porcelain tile. It carries the broken, tonal surface of natural stone, finished with a matte surface that holds light rather than throwing it back. Shade variation is rated V3, a moderate spread of tone that gives the installation obvious movement piece to piece. At 12″ x 24″, it covers ground with fewer grout lines than a small format, which keeps a room reading as one surface. Because it is frost resistant, it can carry an interior floor out onto a covered patio or three-season room. The rating covers both floors and walls, which lets a bathroom or kitchen run the same surface vertically and horizontally. The edges are cushioned rather than rectified, so allow a slightly wider grout joint. The body measures 9 mm. The suggested grout is 949 Silverado. Boxes hold 8 pieces and cover 15.5 sq ft, or 1.9376 sq ft a piece.
