Scultorea Statuario Vena Argento belongs to Centura’s Scultorea range and measures 3″ x 18″. It carries the veining and depth of quarried marble, finished with a matte surface that holds light rather than throwing it back. Centura rates shade variation at V3, a moderate spread of tone that gives the installation obvious movement piece to piece. The chevron format breaks up the grid a square or rectangular tile would give you. Centura tests it at R9, the rating for dry interior floors. Frost resistance means it can be laid outdoors or in an unheated space without spalling through a freeze-thaw cycle. Centura rates it for floors and walls, so one tile can carry a shower wall down onto the floor with no change of material. The edges are cushioned rather than rectified, so allow a slightly wider grout joint. The body measures 9 mm. The suggested grout is 909 – Sterling. Boxes hold 26 pieces and cover 26 sq ft, or 1 sq ft a piece.
