Description
Centura lists Sand White in the Sand range: a 12″ x 24″ porcelain tile. The surface is a matte surface that holds light rather than throwing it back. Shade variation is rated V3, a moderate spread of tone that gives the installation obvious movement piece to piece. The 12″ x 24″ format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. Centura tests it at R10, which covers floors that see occasional water such as kitchens, bathrooms and entry halls. It is frost resistant, so it holds up in unheated garages, porches and exterior work where the tile will freeze and thaw. Centura rates it for floors and walls, so one tile can carry a shower wall down onto the floor with no change of material. Because the edges are rectified, the grout joint can close to around 2 to 3 mm and the layout reads almost seamless. The body measures 8 mm. For a colour match, Centura specifies grout 949 – Silverado. It ships 8 pieces to a box, covering 15.42 sq ft, or 1.9279 sq ft a piece.
