Centura lists ReStone Dune in the ReStone range: a 24″ x 48″ porcelain tile. Centura gives it a brushed face with fine directional texture. Expect variation of V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. The 24″ x 48″ format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. Centura tests it at R9, the rating for dry interior floors. The body is frost resistant, which opens up porches, garages, balconies and other areas that drop below freezing. It is approved for floor and wall installation, so wall and floor areas of the same room can be tiled from one order. Because the edges are rectified, the grout joint can close to around 2 to 3 mm and the layout reads almost seamless. The body measures 8 mm. For a colour match, Centura specifies grout 949 – Silverado. It ships 2 pieces to a box, covering 15.38 sq ft, or 7.6923 sq ft a piece. It contains recycled content, which can count toward LEED material credits on a certified project.
