Centura lists Marvel Onyx Noir in the Marvel Onyx range: a 24″ x 24″ porcelain tile. It carries the veining and depth of quarried marble, finished with a polished face with a mirror-level shine. Centura rates shade variation at V3, a moderate spread of tone that gives the installation obvious movement piece to piece. At 24″ x 24″, it covers ground with fewer grout lines than a small format, which keeps a room reading as one surface. It is frost resistant, so it holds up in unheated garages, porches and exterior work where the tile will freeze and thaw. It is approved for floor and wall installation, so wall and floor areas of the same room can be tiled from one order. Because the edges are rectified, the grout joint can close to around 2 to 3 mm and the layout reads almost seamless. The body measures 9 mm. Centura matches it to grout 950 – Jet Black. Boxes hold 3 pieces and cover 11.63 sq ft, or 3.876 sq ft a piece.
