Description
Centura lists Lithos Desert in the Lithos range: a 24″ x 24″ porcelain tile. The surface is a natural finish, left close to how the tile leaves the press. Shade variation is rated V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. The 24″ x 24″ format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. Centura tests it at R10, which covers floors that see occasional water such as kitchens, bathrooms and entry halls. The body is frost resistant, which opens up porches, garages, balconies and other areas that drop below freezing. Floor and wall use are both covered, useful where a feature wall and the floor beneath it need to match exactly. Rectified edges mean the tile is cut square after firing and will take a tight 2 to 3 mm joint, provided the substrate is flat. The body measures 10 mm. The suggested grout is 945 – Light Buff. One box contains 4 pieces, enough for 15.34 sq ft, or 3.8358 sq ft a piece. It contains recycled content, which can count toward LEED material credits on a certified project.
