Lemmy Excalibur is a 24″ x 24″ porcelain tile from Centura’s Lemmy range. It is finished with a brushed face with fine directional texture. Expect variation of V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. The 24″ x 24″ format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. Centura tests it at R9, the rating for dry interior floors. It is frost resistant, so it holds up in unheated garages, porches and exterior work where the tile will freeze and thaw. Floor and wall use are both covered, useful where a feature wall and the floor beneath it need to match exactly. Because the edges are rectified, the grout joint can close to around 2 to 3 mm and the layout reads almost seamless. The body measures 9 mm. For a colour match, Centura specifies grout 939 – Mist. One box contains 3 pieces, enough for 11.57 sq ft, or 3.8551 sq ft a piece.
