Centura lists Lemmy Excalibur in the Lemmy range: a 12″ x 24″ porcelain tile. The surface is a brushed face with fine directional texture. Centura rates shade variation at V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. The 12″ x 24″ format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. The slip rating is R9, the rating for dry interior floors. It is frost resistant, so it holds up in unheated garages, porches and exterior work where the tile will freeze and thaw. Centura rates it for floors and walls, so one tile can carry a shower wall down onto the floor with no change of material. Rectified edges mean the tile is cut square after firing and will take a tight 2 to 3 mm joint, provided the substrate is flat. The body measures 9 mm. The suggested grout is 939 – Mist. It ships 7 pieces to a box, covering 13.46 sq ft, or 1.9227 sq ft a piece.
