Lemmy Afterglow is a 24″ x 24″ porcelain tile from Centura’s Lemmy range. The surface is a brushed face with fine directional texture. Piece-to-piece variation is graded V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. The 24″ x 24″ format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. The slip rating is R9, the rating for dry interior floors. Frost resistance means it can be laid outdoors or in an unheated space without spalling through a freeze-thaw cycle. The rating covers both floors and walls, which lets a bathroom or kitchen run the same surface vertically and horizontally. Because the edges are rectified, the grout joint can close to around 2 to 3 mm and the layout reads almost seamless. The body measures 9 mm. The suggested grout is 908 – Dove Gray. One box contains 3 pieces, enough for 11.57 sq ft, or 3.8551 sq ft a piece.
