Centura lists I Classici Statuario in the I Classici range: a 24″ x 24″ porcelain tile. It carries the veining and depth of quarried marble, finished with a polished face with a mirror-level shine. Centura rates shade variation at V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. At 24″ x 24″, it covers ground with fewer grout lines than a small format, which keeps a room reading as one surface. It is frost resistant, so it holds up in unheated garages, porches and exterior work where the tile will freeze and thaw. Centura rates it for floors and walls, so one tile can carry a shower wall down onto the floor with no change of material. The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so it sets with a joint of roughly 2 to 3 mm over a flat substrate. The body measures 10 mm. For a colour match, Centura specifies grout 939 – Mist. It ships 3 pieces to a box, covering 11.51 sq ft, or 3.8358 sq ft a piece.
