Centura lists I Classici Calacatta Gold in the I Classici range: a 24″ x 24″ porcelain tile. It carries the veining and depth of quarried marble, finished with a matte surface that holds light rather than throwing it back. Piece-to-piece variation is graded V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. The 24″ x 24″ format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. It is frost resistant, so it holds up in unheated garages, porches and exterior work where the tile will freeze and thaw. Floor and wall use are both covered, useful where a feature wall and the floor beneath it need to match exactly. The edges are cushioned rather than rectified, so allow a slightly wider grout joint. The body measures 10 mm. For a colour match, Centura specifies grout 908 – Dove Gray. It ships 3 pieces to a box, covering 11.51 sq ft, or 3.8358 sq ft a piece.
