Centura Glocal Type Natural Porcelain 12″ x 24″

Glocal Type is a 12″ x 24″ porcelain tile from Centura’s Glocal range. It carries the flat, faintly mottled face of poured concrete, finished with a natural finish, left close to how the tile leaves the press. Expect variation of V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. A 12″ x 24″ tile lays up quickly and leaves less grout to keep clean. The slip rating is R10, which covers floors that see occasional water such as kitchens, bathrooms and entry halls. The body is frost resistant, which opens up porches, garages, balconies and other areas that drop below freezing. The rating covers both floors and walls, which lets a bathroom or kitchen run the same surface vertically and horizontally. Rectified edges mean the tile is cut square after firing and will take a tight 2 to 3 mm joint, provided the substrate is flat. The body measures 9 mm. For a colour match, Centura specifies grout 927 – Light Pewter. Boxes hold 7 pieces and cover 13.56 sq ft, or 1.9376 sq ft a piece. It contains recycled content, which can count toward LEED material credits on a certified project.
