Centura Glocal Sugar Natural Porcelain 24″ x 48″

Glocal Sugar is a 24″ x 48″ porcelain tile from Centura’s Glocal range. It carries the flat, faintly mottled face of poured concrete, finished with a natural finish, left close to how the tile leaves the press. Expect variation of V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. The 24″ x 48″ format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. Centura tests it at R10, which covers floors that see occasional water such as kitchens, bathrooms and entry halls. The body is frost resistant, which opens up porches, garages, balconies and other areas that drop below freezing. The rating covers both floors and walls, which lets a bathroom or kitchen run the same surface vertically and horizontally. Rectified edges mean the tile is cut square after firing and will take a tight 2 to 3 mm joint, provided the substrate is flat. The body measures 9 mm. The suggested grout is 927 – Light Pewter. It ships 2 pieces to a box, covering 15.44 sq ft, or 7.722 sq ft a piece. It contains recycled content, which can count toward LEED material credits on a certified project.
