Elysian Gris Catalan belongs to Centura’s Elysian range and measures 24″ x 48″. The surface is a natural finish, left close to how the tile leaves the press. Piece-to-piece variation is graded V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. At 24″ x 48″, it covers ground with fewer grout lines than a small format, which keeps a room reading as one surface. The slip rating is R10, which covers floors that see occasional water such as kitchens, bathrooms and entry halls. Frost resistance means it can be laid outdoors or in an unheated space without spalling through a freeze-thaw cycle. The rating covers both floors and walls, which lets a bathroom or kitchen run the same surface vertically and horizontally. The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so it sets with a joint of roughly 2 to 3 mm over a flat substrate. The body measures 9 mm. Centura matches it to grout 939 Mist.
