Elysian Gris Catalan belongs to Centura’s Elysian range and measures 24″ x 24″. The surface is a natural finish, left close to how the tile leaves the press. Expect variation of V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. The 24″ x 24″ format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. Underfoot it is rated R10, which covers floors that see occasional water such as kitchens, bathrooms and entry halls. Because it is frost resistant, it can carry an interior floor out onto a covered patio or three-season room. Centura rates it for floors and walls, so one tile can carry a shower wall down onto the floor with no change of material. Rectified edges mean the tile is cut square after firing and will take a tight 2 to 3 mm joint, provided the substrate is flat. The body measures 9 mm. The suggested grout is 939 Mist. One box contains 3 pieces, enough for 11.51 sq ft, or 3.8358 sq ft a piece. It contains recycled content, which can count toward LEED material credits on a certified project.
