Centura lists Elysian Beige Catalan in the Elysian range: a 24″ x 24″ porcelain tile. Centura gives it a natural finish, left close to how the tile leaves the press. Expect variation of V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. The 24″ x 24″ format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. The slip rating is R10, which covers floors that see occasional water such as kitchens, bathrooms and entry halls. Frost resistance means it can be laid outdoors or in an unheated space without spalling through a freeze-thaw cycle. It is approved for floor and wall installation, so wall and floor areas of the same room can be tiled from one order. Rectified edges mean the tile is cut square after firing and will take a tight 2 to 3 mm joint, provided the substrate is flat. The body measures 9 mm. For a colour match, Centura specifies grout 903 Birch. One box contains 3 pieces, enough for 11.51 sq ft, or 3.8358 sq ft a piece. It contains recycled content, which can count toward LEED material credits on a certified project.
