Dorset Taupe belongs to Centura’s Dorset range and measures 24″ x 48″. Centura gives it a matte surface that holds light rather than throwing it back. Expect variation of V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. A 24″ x 48″ tile lays up quickly and leaves less grout to keep clean. Underfoot it is rated R9, the rating for dry interior floors. The body is frost resistant, which opens up porches, garages, balconies and other areas that drop below freezing. The rating covers both floors and walls, which lets a bathroom or kitchen run the same surface vertically and horizontally. The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so it sets with a joint of roughly 2 to 3 mm over a flat substrate. The body measures 9 mm. The suggested grout is 903 – Birch. Boxes hold 2 pieces and cover 15.5 sq ft, or 7.7519 sq ft a piece.
