Centura Dorset Marfil Matte Porcelain 24″ x 48″

Description

Dorset Marfil is a 24″ x 48″ porcelain tile from Centura’s Dorset range. It is finished with a matte surface that holds light rather than throwing it back. Shade variation is rated V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. The 24″ x 48″ format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. Underfoot it is rated R9, the rating for dry interior floors. Frost resistance means it can be laid outdoors or in an unheated space without spalling through a freeze-thaw cycle. It is approved for floor and wall installation, so wall and floor areas of the same room can be tiled from one order. The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so it sets with a joint of roughly 2 to 3 mm over a flat substrate. The body measures 9 mm. Centura matches it to grout 909 – Sterling. One box contains 2 pieces, enough for 15.5 sq ft, or 7.7519 sq ft a piece.
