Centura Dorset Marfil Matte Porcelain 12″ x 24″

Description

Dorset Marfil is a 12″ x 24″ porcelain tile from Centura’s Dorset range. Centura gives it a matte surface that holds light rather than throwing it back. Shade variation is rated V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. At 12″ x 24″, it covers ground with fewer grout lines than a small format, which keeps a room reading as one surface. The slip rating is R9, the rating for dry interior floors. It is frost resistant, so it holds up in unheated garages, porches and exterior work where the tile will freeze and thaw. It is approved for floor and wall installation, so wall and floor areas of the same room can be tiled from one order. The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so it sets with a joint of roughly 2 to 3 mm over a flat substrate. The body measures 9.5 mm. For a colour match, Centura specifies grout 909 – Sterling. One box contains 7 pieces, enough for 13.46 sq ft, or 1.9227 sq ft a piece.
