Description

Dorset Gris is a 24″ x 24″ porcelain tile from Centura’s Dorset range. It is finished with a matte surface that holds light rather than throwing it back. Piece-to-piece variation is graded V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. The 24″ x 24″ format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. The slip rating is R9, the rating for dry interior floors. Frost resistance means it can be laid outdoors or in an unheated space without spalling through a freeze-thaw cycle. It is approved for floor and wall installation, so wall and floor areas of the same room can be tiled from one order. Because the edges are rectified, the grout joint can close to around 2 to 3 mm and the layout reads almost seamless. The body measures 9.5 mm. For a colour match, Centura specifies grout 949 – Silverado. It ships 5 pieces to a box, covering 19.28 sq ft, or 3.8551 sq ft a piece.
