Dorset Gris belongs to Centura’s Dorset range and measures 12″ x 24″. It is finished with a matte surface that holds light rather than throwing it back. Expect variation of V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. A 12″ x 24″ tile lays up quickly and leaves less grout to keep clean. Centura tests it at R9, the rating for dry interior floors. The body is frost resistant, which opens up porches, garages, balconies and other areas that drop below freezing. It is approved for floor and wall installation, so wall and floor areas of the same room can be tiled from one order. Because the edges are rectified, the grout joint can close to around 2 to 3 mm and the layout reads almost seamless. The body measures 9.5 mm. For a colour match, Centura specifies grout 949 – Silverado. It ships 7 pieces to a box, covering 13.46 sq ft, or 1.9227 sq ft a piece.
