Centura lists Classic / Techno Black in the Classic / Techno range: a 12″ x 12″ mosaic. It is finished with a matte surface that holds light rather than throwing it back. Centura rates shade variation at V1, so pieces run near-identical and the finished floor reads as one continuous surface. Centura tests it at R10, which covers floors that see occasional water such as kitchens, bathrooms and entry halls. It is frost resistant, so it holds up in unheated garages, porches and exterior work where the tile will freeze and thaw. The rating covers both floors and walls, which lets a bathroom or kitchen run the same surface vertically and horizontally. The edges are cushioned rather than rectified, so allow a slightly wider grout joint. The body measures 6 mm. For a colour match, Centura specifies grout 929 – Charcoal Gray. One box contains 20 pieces, enough for 20 sq ft, or 1 sq ft a piece.
