Centura Chamonix Gray Matte Porcelain 12″ x 24″

Description

Chamonix Gray is a 12″ x 24″ porcelain tile from Centura’s Chamonix range. The surface is a matte surface that holds light rather than throwing it back. Piece-to-piece variation is graded V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that keeps the surface from looking printed. The 12″ x 24″ format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. Frost resistance means it can be laid outdoors or in an unheated space without spalling through a freeze-thaw cycle. Centura rates it for floors and walls, so one tile can carry a shower wall down onto the floor with no change of material. The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so it sets with a joint of roughly 2 to 3 mm over a flat substrate. The body measures 8.5 mm. Centura matches it to grout 934 – Slate Grey. One box contains 8 pieces, enough for 15.5 sq ft, or 1.9376 sq ft a piece.
