Basaltina Mid Grey is a 12″ x 24″ porcelain tile from Centura’s Basaltina range. It carries the broken, tonal surface of natural stone, finished with a matte surface that holds light rather than throwing it back. Centura rates shade variation at V1, so pieces run near-identical and the finished floor reads as one continuous surface. The 12″ x 24″ format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. The rating covers both floors and walls, which lets a bathroom or kitchen run the same surface vertically and horizontally. The body measures 9 mm. Centura matches it to grout 934 – DeLorean Gray. Boxes hold 8 pieces and cover 16 sq ft, or 2 sq ft a piece.
