Arkistyle Sand belongs to Centura’s Arkistyle range and measures 9″ x 10″. The surface is a natural finish, left close to how the tile leaves the press. Shade variation is rated V3, a moderate spread of tone that gives the installation obvious movement piece to piece. The hexagon format breaks up the grid a square or rectangular tile would give you. Centura tests it at R10, which covers floors that see occasional water such as kitchens, bathrooms and entry halls. It is frost resistant, so it holds up in unheated garages, porches and exterior work where the tile will freeze and thaw. Centura rates it for floors and walls, so one tile can carry a shower wall down onto the floor with no change of material. The edges are cushioned rather than rectified, so allow a slightly wider grout joint. The body measures 9 mm. For a colour match, Centura specifies grout 903 Birch. It ships 29 pieces to a box, covering 12.7 sq ft, or 0.4378 sq ft a piece.
