Accademia Bellini is a 24″ x 24″ porcelain tile from Centura’s Accademia range. It is finished with a polished face with a mirror-level shine. Centura rates shade variation at V3, a moderate spread of tone that gives the installation obvious movement piece to piece. The 24″ x 24″ format means fewer joints across a floor, so the eye is not pulled to a grid. It is frost resistant, so it holds up in unheated garages, porches and exterior work where the tile will freeze and thaw. It is approved for floor and wall installation, so wall and floor areas of the same room can be tiled from one order. Because the edges are rectified, the grout joint can close to around 2 to 3 mm and the layout reads almost seamless. The body measures 10 mm. Centura matches it to grout 949 Silverado. Boxes hold 3 pieces and cover 11.45 sq ft, or 3.8153 sq ft a piece.
